In Spring 2022 I dedicated my senior design capstone to creating a campaign surrounding the women’s healthcare system and relating conditions. The intentions of this project were to create awareness surrounding complex issues and community organizations working to help them through experiemental typography, illustration, and a set of zines.
Research & Concept Development
To begin this project, I spent time researching women’s healthcare organizations in Boston, and women’s health conditions. From there, I created a set of statements that guided my work throughout the project.
Brand
Once I narrowed in the focus of the content of my project, I decided on color, type, and brand elements. My goal for this project was to make these topics which are traditonally seen as “taboo”, accessible and interesting to learn about.
Final Deliverables
To execute the project, I decided to create 2 zines, a set of posters, and a website to showcase the information I had gathered. Through this work, I was able to experiment with typography, illustration, and print work, which I enjoyed thoroughly.
